The confirmation of 12 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday brings the country’s total number of unique coronavirus infections to 979,152.
In 3929 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 11 patients were found to be infected with SARS-CoV-2, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update.
Similarly, in the prior 24 hours, 913 antigen tests revealed 1 positive case. In the country, there are currently 98 active COVID-19 cases, with 97 people placed in home isolation.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 11 COVID-19 patients receiving therapy in a hospital or at home have recovered from the virus. Nepal has already reported 9670102 cases of recovery, with a recovery rate of 98.8 percent.
The MoHP reported no COVID-19-related fatalities on Wednesday, bringing the nation’s COVID-19 death toll to 11,952.
